Heat Safety for the Elderly

With the temperatures rising and the summer now in full swing it is important to know how to prevent heat induced ailments. Certain medications, cardiovascular, kidney or respiratory conditions along poorly working sweat glands, put elderly at a greater risk for heat stroke. The best way to prevent heat-related illnesses is to drink plenty of fluids and know the signs of heat stroke.
